Jeteye (15:00 Sedgefield — MW Civils & Groundworks Handicap Chase, Class 5, 3m2f)
Trained by S England, in form at 15% over the last fortnight, and ridden again by Jonathan England, who partners him regularly but hasn’t had a winner in his last four rides — worth flagging, though he’s up with the pace on this yard’s confidence. Won by a neck at Cartmel off a 1lb lower mark two starts back, then ran to form in second last time out at this course and trip, beaten only by Getaway Vic. Effective around 3m and suited by a sound surface, which today’s good ground provides.
Verdict: Back to win — proven at the trip, in-form yard, and racing off a mark he’s already shown he can win from. 🏇
