South West bolted up on his most recent start, winning a novice at Catterick by 4½ lengths in a performance that earned a rare 5-star expert rating from ATR — the kind of form that makes his handicap debut off a mark of 75 look very workable if he brings that level here.
The draw in stall 5 is well positioned at Lingfield over 5f on Polytrack where high numbers carry a significant advantage, and Marsh is a capable operator on the AW. If that Catterick form is genuine, the field of nine shouldn’t trouble him.
