A seven-year-old trained by Henry De Bromhead, Nouvotic arrives here in top form after landing a Grade 3 handicap chase at Punchestown in April by 10 lengths at 7/1, beating 13 rivals with plenty in hand. That was a career-best and came off a mark 10lb lower than today, but crucially he now drops back to a much weaker heat where that form looks more than good enough.
His record at Wexford over fences is a perfect three from three, and Darragh O’Keeffe, who knows this horse inside out with a 42% win rate across seven rides together, retains the ride. Good to yielding ground is right in his wheelhouse.
