Sun Goddess (14:27 Newmarket — Cheveley Park Stakes, Fillies’ Group 1, 6f)
Followers of the channel will know Sun Goddess well — we tipped her at the Curragh eleven days ago when she landed the Moyglare by 6½ lengths, her second Group 1 of the season. Aidan O’Brien’s filly, ridden by Ryan Moore who’s 5 from 6 on her, now drops back to 6f, the trip of two of those Group 1 wins. Only defeat in seven starts came behind Libertango at Royal Ascot back in June, and she’s progressed since — this looks the chance to put that right.
Verdict: Back to win — a proven Group 1 performer back at her best trip, in career-best form. 🏇
