Beautiful Diamond (15:05 Ayr — Arran Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies’ Stakes, Listed, 5f)
Karl Burke’s mare, in fine form at 23% over the last fortnight, ridden by Pierre-Louis Jamin for the first time. Won this exact race last year and boasts a 75% course-and-distance record — three wins from four here. Only beaten a length in third last time out at this course, having given away too much ground early, and she’s been freshened up since off a break. Suited by return to easier ground.
Verdict: Back to win — a proven course specialist who’s already won this race, fresh and ready to go one better. 🏇
