Cerro Blanco (15:30 Sandown — Trainor Stone & Tile Fortune Stakes, Listed, 1m)
Godolphin’s colt for Charlie Appleby, in red-hot form at 46% over the last fortnight, ridden by William Buick who’s up on him for the first time. Readily won by 7 lengths at Newmarket last time, and placed in a Listed race there before that. Steps up to a mile for the first time today, which looks the one query, but everything about him points to it suiting.
Verdict: Back to win — a smart, fast-improving prospect for the country’s in-form yard, stepping up in trip at the right time. 🏇
