A three-year-old bay gelding trained by David and Clare Kubler — who have been in outstanding form lately at 35% — and partnered by Christian Howarth. Followers of this channel will know Mythological Star well — we tipped him at Ffos Las on 4 August when he won his handicap debut by 1½ lengths at 4/6, hitting the line in the manner of a horse crying out for this step up to 1m2f.
He carries a 6lb penalty today but remains on a lenient mark for a horse still learning his craft, and the Kubler yard’s record suggests they don’t run horses unless they believe they can follow up. Six runners, good to firm conditions, and a horse who looks to have more improvement in him.
Verdict: Back to win — progressive gelding, in-form yard, and the step up in trip looks exactly what he needs. 🏇
