Ridger (19:45 Kempton, this evening: Racing TV Handicap, Class 6, 7f)
Ollie Sangster’s gelding, ridden again by S Donohoe. Got off the mark with authority at Wolverhampton last time, winning by 3¼ lengths off a 7lb lower mark, and now carries a 6lb penalty for that. Worth noting the yard and jockey haven’t been firing of late, but the horse himself looks on the up and there’s more to find from a lightly-raced sort who’s clearly progressing.
Verdict: Back Ridger to win. He’s just getting into his stride and this new mark still looks workable. 🏇
