Thunder Goddess (16:27 Pontefract — Prince Of Wales Hospice Handicap, Class 5, 1m4f)
Andrew Balding’s filly, ridden by 7lb claimer Charlie Tucker. Won by 4¾ lengths at this course over 1m2f last time, and now steps up to 1m4f carrying a 6lb penalty for that success. Perfect course record, with the stretch out in trip looking to suit given she’s been finishing off her races well.
Verdict: Back to win — proven at the track, in-form yard, and the extra distance can bring more improvement. 🏇
