Sun Goddess (14:50 Curragh — Moyglare Stud Stakes, Fillies’ Group 1, 7f)
Aidan O’Brien’s filly, ridden by Ryan Moore who’s 4 from 8 on her at 80%. Already a Group 1 winner at this course last month, and followed that up by hacking up at York by 6 lengths — no penalty for the top-level win either. Perfect 3 from 3 at the Curragh, and stall 7 carries a strong draw edge today.
The one unknown is the step up to 7f — every win so far has come at 6f — but there’s nothing in the profile suggesting stamina will be a problem, and Green Empress, her closest market rival, has already been seen off twice.
Verdict: Back to win — the clear best form in the race, home course, in-form jockey, and a query over the trip that looks a minor formality. 🏇
